The Heart Behind the Stories

Every story begins with an idea.

For me, that idea was inspired by two things I love very much—my little dog and my love of writing.

As Mandy’s story began to unfold, I realized I wanted these books to become much more than entertaining stories. I wanted them to encourage children to be kind, believe in themselves, persevere through challenges, and discover that every person has something special to offer.

My hope has always been that families will enjoy reading Mandy’s adventures together and that each story will spark meaningful conversations about kindness, friendship, courage, family, and the importance of never giving up.

But there is another reason these books are so close to my heart.

Rather than focusing on personal success, I wanted Mandy’s journey to help others. A number of the first printed book series are being donated to organizations that are especially meaningful to me, allowing them to auction the books during their fundraising events. In this small way, I hope Mandy’s adventures will continue helping children and families while also supporting causes that make a difference in our communities.

If one child finishes reading Mandy’s stories believing a little more in themselves…

If one family spends a little more time reading together…

If one conversation about kindness changes a life…

Then every hour spent writing these books has been worthwhile.

People often ask what I hope from readers.

My answer is simple.

I hope every child who meets Mandy will love her as much as I do.
